Up to Speed Mountain Bike Project
Welcome to the Up to Speed Mountain Bike Project!

Brizen Mountain Bike Action
This project is run by Gloucestershire Youth Service, Cheltenham Team.
This is a seven week project that aims to provide information and awareness on Mountain Biking. We will address safety, bike maintenance, riding a bike on different terrains, map reading, confidence building, improving self esteem, group work skills, fitness and healthy eating.
This is facilitated by JNC qualified Youth Workers who are first aid trained and have
Level 1 MIAS Mountain Bike Instructor qualifications.
The course is a mix of classroom based and outdoor cycling sessions. Four sessions inside will run from Brizen Centre for Young People, two bike rides will take place in Cheltenham and the final bike ride will take place at the Forest of Dean, please note this is all day.

Bike maintenance and repair are essential parts of the course.....

...and outside action is demanding and exciting!
Clothing needed for bike ride sessions: comfortable clothing-warm layers if the weather is cold and trainers. We will provide bikes, waterproof jackets, helmets, gloves and other essentials.
