The Brizen Young People's Centre - Our Facilities
The New Centre
As a result of the work carried out by the South Cheltenham Youth Project and the survey results obtained, along with the threat to the current limited provision
for young people due to the expiry of planning permission for The Pod, Leckhampton with Warden Hill Parish Council worked with partners to raise funding to build and run a Centre for Young People. The Brizen Young People's Centre, a permanent extension of the existing sports pavilion on Brizen Recreation Field owned by Cheltenham Borough Council, was opened on 3rd October 2009 and provides a dedicated hall for youth work with capacity for up to 50 young people. Apart from the main hall, the Centre has an office, a kitchen, and full disabled access and toilet facilities.

Outdoor Facilities
Outside The Brizen Young People's Centre, there is a Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) and a Twin-Fly on the Brizen Recreation Field and both are adjacent to the The Brizen Young People's Centre. There are also ramps for BMX bike activities and skateboarding.
These outdoor facilities are for use by the general public and, although not exclusively so, also by hirers of The Brizen Young People's Centre. Any organised use of the outside facilities or organised outside activity on the land (e.g. using a bouncy castle) at the Brizen Recreation Field by hirers of The Brizen Young People's Centre will require prior permission from Cheltenham Borough Council.
